Open Faced Turkey Reuben

Open-Faced Turkey Reuben

A heart-healthy version of the traditional corned beef Reuben. Even though this sandwich is better for you, it still tastes delicious!

Ingredients (serves 4-6)

  • 6 slices of marble rye bread
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese, sliced thin
  • 1 lb all natural turkey breast
  • margarine or butter, to taste
  • Thousand Island dressing, to taste
  • sauerkraut, to taste


1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly coat with nonstick spray.

3. Lightly spread margarine on one side of each piece of bread. Turn the slices over and coat with Thousand Island dressing.

4. Layer 2-3 slices of turkey on each slice. Add sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. 

5. Bake until cheese is melted.

6. Place sandwiches on serving platter and drizzle each with Thousand Island dressing.
