Pineapple Prosciutto Poppers

Pineapples are a powerhouse fruit.  Their high fiber content makes them an ideal snack for those watching their waistlines.  Pineapples are rich in vitamin A and C, which promote healthy skin and strong bones.  Their anti-inflammatory properties help to protect our immune system.  The sweet-and-salty flavor of this appetizer is unexpectedly delicious!


  • 1 pineapple
  • 8 oz prosciutto, sliced thin
  • toothpicks for serving (optional) 
  • garnish, red onion and cilantro, chopped


1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. 

2. Remove skin of pineapple and cut into squares.

3. Slice each piece of prosciutto lengthwise in half.

4. Wrap the prosciutto around the pineapple pieces. 

5. Baking is optional. Place wrapped pineapple on baking sheet. Bake for approximately 15 minutes.

6. Garnish with chopped red onion and cilantro.
