Vitamin D Test

Are you Vitamin D deficient?

Vitamin D deficiency and its association with chronic health conditions have become widely recognized. Worldwide an estimated 1 billion people are either vitamin D deficient or insufficient.1 These deficiencies have led to an increased risk for cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders. 2-4 This emphasizes the need for promptly diagnosing and adequately correcting this common vitamin deficiency. Assessment of vitamin D is both cost-effective and convenient.

Symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency

Many chronic health conditions have an underlying common denominator of vitamin D insufficiency. Determining and monitoring vitamin D levels is especially important for assessing those with metabolic and cardiovascular conditions. Vitamin D deficiency can affect people of all ages.

  • Neurological conditions-multiple sclerosis, cognitive decline 1, 6
  • Metabolic disorders-Type I and II diabetes 6
  • Cardiovascular diseases-atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease 7, 8
  • Gastrointestinal disorders-inflammatory bowel disease 9
  • Cancer-colon, breast, prostate, lung 4, 6
  • Respiratory conditions-asthma, wheezing 10
  • Skin disorders-eczema, psoriasis, hives 6, 11
  • Musculoskeletal disorders-worsening rheumatoid arthritis, Osteoporosis muscle pain 6
