Ingredients

1 open-faced sandwich

  • 1 slice whole grain bread, toasted
  • 1 tablespoon honey Dijon mustard
  • 1 handful mixed greens
  • 1 slice Colby Jack cheese (or your preferred cheese)
  • 2 slices oven-roasted turkey breast
  • 1/2 apple, sliced thin
  • salt, to taste
  • papper, to taste
  • hot honey, drizzle

Directions

  1. Spread 1 tablespoon of honey Dijon mustard evenly over a slice of bread.
  2. Layer 1 handful of mixed greens on top of the mustard.
  3. Add 1 slice of Colby Jack cheese over the greens.
  4. Place 2 slices of oven-roasted turkey breast on top of the cheese.
  5. Arrange thin apple slices over the turkey.
  6. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Drizzle with hot honey (or regular honey if you prefer less heat).
