Avocado Magnifico

Guacamole: Avocado Magnifico

One of our favorite indulgences is guacamole.  Avocados are packed with nutrients that help control our appetite and lower cholesterol. They also contain antioxidants that boost our immune system and slow the aging process.


(serves 4-6)

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • ½ cup red onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt


In a medium-serving bowl, mash the avocados. Add the chopped onion, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, orange juice, and sea salt. Mix well. Cover with plastic wrap directly on surface of the guacamole to prevent oxidation or browning. Refrigerate until ready.

*Use as a dip or as a spread on your favorite sandwiches.
